Coma
I hardly know what to ask for. I was in a coma for a year – after a bad accident – and now, two years after first “waking up” in a nursing home, where I had at last been left for dead by my grown children, nothing is clear to me. I get “lost” walking through my neighborhood, I have no sense of where now to go, what to do. MRI scans do show significant damage in my left hemisphere. Moreover, I have clear memories of what “happened” to me during the coma – but not what happened here. I was somewhere else. Does anyone have knowledge of these phenomena?
